8 GB can hold quite a few apps depending on how large each app is.. if hypothetically each app is 5MB, you have enough space to fit over 1000 apps! but all ipods and iphones regardless of ammount of GB can only hold around 12 pages of apps i think... which adds up to almost 200 apps, and apple is constantly lessening its grip on that limit.. but trust me 200 apps is ALOT anywayas.. (BUT remember, and app can be anywhere from 5KB t o 500MB[half a gig])...

As for songs... an 8 GB can hold around 3500-4000 songs (that is if you have no apps or pictues, actual number will vary)

32 GB can hold well.. 3 times as much!

PLEASE DONT LISTEN TO WHAT THE OTHERS ABOVE ME ARE SAYING! they dont know what they are saying!

THE MAIN DIFFERENCE THO is that the 32 and 64 GB ipod touch has a better CPU, graphics card, RAM ETC than the 8 GB does, therefore it runs faster, smoother, has better graphics for games, and crashes much less often.. the 32/64 GB also has Voice Control Features and comes with a headphone/mic/remote headset.
i would recommend you get the 32 or 64 GB model..

YES.. they are identical dimensions. even first gen ipods can fit in other most other (except hard plastic) cases as the first gen has a flat back while 2nd and 3rd have curved back but overall dimesnions are the same!!

Ok 8 gb holds roughly 2 to 2.5 thousand songs and a couple of movies.

If your going to download your music legally than get the 8gb. However, if you download illegally than get the 32gb cos you'll need more space.

Also I'm assuming you have wireless interntet. So yes, the iPod touch would he a brilliant thing to buy. Infact, I'm using mine to answer you right now. ;)

Apps range in size a lot. They can be <1 MB to over 20, with most somewhere in between.

However, Apple (for some reason) limits your apps to 9 pages at once.
9 pages * 16 apps per page = 144.

And since Apple gives you 16 (like youTube and stuff), the amount you can add yourself is 144 - 12 = 132.
(because 4 of them are at the bottom and don't take up space)

Yes they will fit. The iPod touch 2nd Generation and 3rd Generation have the same exact physical appearance, weight, size, and width. It's just that the 3rd Generation is faster and supports Voice Control.

The 8GB 3rd Generation by the way is actually a 2nd Generation iPod touch with updated software and the new bootrom (for jailbreaking prevention)

Need help?
