Should I buy my friends 16GB iPod Touch? 10 Points!?

Alright so I’m in need of a new iPod and my friend is selling his for $175 and its a 16GB so I need to know if its a good iPod for me. All I am worried about is storage for music and Apps. So I need at least 10-12 GB of music space and the rest for apps and pictures. So I need to know if I should buy it or just get a new 32 GB iPod Touch for my birthday for $298. His iPod is in PERFECT condition I have used it before and its great. It comes with 2 cases and protective cover. Also he has his name engraved in it, is there I way I could undo that and put my name where it is?

I just put a brand new wallpaper on my 16gb ipod touch. It’s a very personal picture that I converted into a wallpaper and the picture means a lot to me. Let me just put it that way. I want to be able to see it whenever I want. I had changed the settings of the ipod so it wouldn’t auto lock, and I had also dimmed the brightness so it wouldn’t run out the battery. (I take my ipod with me EVERYWHERE.) But when I turned the ipod on and waited, it went to the wallpaper, then turned right off again to the blank screen. What am I doing wrong? And what can I do to fix this? I really want to be able to see my wallpaper at all times. Thanks.

I want to buy an Ipod touch and I want to have about 400 songs, at least 10 show episodes and maybe a movie or two. I also will most likely buy a bunch of apps/games. Does the 32gb over 16gb make that big of a difference.

well my question is im planning to jailbreak it so i can install 3rd party programs.

as for me 4gb of music is well-enough space. but i dont know how much these 3rd party programs space will take. i’m not planning to download like 50 programs….just couple here and there ..maybe 15-20 programs… you think by getting me a 8gb ipod touch is good enough space or should i get a 16gb ipod touch just to be in the safe side?

how big are files for ipod touch/iphone 3rd party programs? (average) anybody knows? (ex. like NES game files) how big are those files?…

I would be able to afford either one but I wanted to know if the extra money for the touch was worth it. Also, did anybody have problems setting up the internet on their ipod touch? I am not very “technologically gifted” and I don’t want to spend alot of time setting it up. An 80gb could hold all of my music and videos, but for the 16gb I would have to switch stuff on and off. Is switching music and videos on and off really annoying? What are the pros and cons of both? Oh, and can you watch shows on websites like southpark.com, or only yooutube? Finally, if you have wireless internet in your house, does that mean that you have wi-fi? If not, how do you know if you have wi-fi in your house? Sorry, i’m a bit new to this stuff. I know that there are alot of questions, but it would be great if you could answer as many of them as you can( doesn’t have to be all of them).

i have 300 bucks in xmas money
so should i buy the ipod touch 16 gb or the pantech matrix
(i would have to buy the pantech matrix with no contract because i have the blackjack II that i got 4 months ago and my upgrade isn’t till 2010)
i would like to add that i have a 8gb green ipod nano.
i bought it last year with my christmas money and its still in excellent condition.

i thought the 8GB would be enough, but my friend cautioned me, saying it would definitely not be enough

so, my question is…
Is the 16GB ipod touch good? (overall, do you like it)
and about how long would it be good before it starts breaking?

IF you do not like this 16GB ipod touch, which other mp3 device would you reccomend?
Do you think I should get the 8GB instead because I have less than 1,000 songs and almost no videos but i want a lot of apps.
